great write up and photos mate.. would love to get out and do that!. some very decent driving in some sections and the photos show it beautifully..

thanks for the feedback, glad you liked the report! The FSJ was running at about 4km/L or 25L/100km so it is fairly thirsty.

Cheers for adding that pic johnv, we didn't go out Frenchmans Track.

Great trip report - nice XJ!!

The .plt file is 1.4mb so I can't attach it to the thread, PM me your email address and I'll email it to those interested, we used Hema maps, both paper and digital.

Thanks for the time taken to put this report together - I'm doing the cape trip next year with mates as well and this is just awesome.
