Default Kj 8.25

Hi, has anyone attempted to fit a KJ 8.25 in there XJ (3.73 ratio, I have done the D30 to 3.73), it seems to be 30mm wider per side, I have aftermarket flares and the front tyres are just in the flares but the back has about 30mm to be sitting the same, I'm going to give it a go, cutting off all the coil spring stuff and fitting leaf spring plates to match the lift angle, the brake lines (disk brakes) will be the fun bit if it is not too wide!!

Should just get a diesel rear center and gears and do a disk brake conversion on it , would be heaps easier than changing to kj diff , 'I do have a 3.73 gear and center from an Xj diesel Dana 35 I might part with if ur interested haha '

Default Hmmm I have a 3.73 diesel set of gears!!!

I have fitted the D30 gears from a diesel to the front, but I could not get the rears to work without an install kit, I had a KJ 8.25 with 3.73 sitting there!! so why not give it a go!!! I have done rough install, looks ok.... lets see!!, KJ had a much better LSD aswell!

yes they can go in but it is similar amount of work to ford 8.8 or tj d44. at least the kj 8.25 axel comes in a ratio with ausi junkyard solution , unlike the ford, or the tj d44.
