more photos ..the legs can be stored under the system and in the current set up the draws are easier to remove as the legs go on easier than come off. still a work in progress

I'm impressed, looks great.
May be scary with a flat off the side of the road, my luck it would all end up in the table drain. A big can of 'Finalec' for the flat and save removing the drawers, maybe.
I really like the idea though.

Default good effort

well done, obviously you have to remove the setup entirely to get access to the spare tyre. I suppose how often do you suffer flats these days, so might not be an issue.

Great job Sparky60, a module does make working out of the back easy.
We presently have a WK2 on order and as it is Feb delivery I have way to much time to poodle on the internet and planning jobs for the new one.
Our present Patrol has a module that I first built in 1990 and it has worked its way through a number of evolutions and vehicle changes. Basic construction is 16mm rhs tube and 12mm marine ply with carpet cover. It weighs about 30kg empty so I can lift it in and out on my own.
My present idea is to modify it yet again to fit the Jeep.
Thoughts are to have the module out for round town then fit in for touring.
The module will carry the fridge, aux battery, redarc, fuses and power points; connected up by anderson plug to leads from the jeep main battery.
If you look at attached pictures the drawer on the LH side will be removed, the deck cut out to suit the tyre width, and the spare will be fitted vertical fore and aft on that side, fixed in by strap. Fridge will go as now on RH side with the addition of slides.
Table and chairs pack on edge in the centre with strap over.
The base will have large as possible access holes cut under the drawers, so I can access the spare well for storage of whatever items will fit through the holes, like jack, spares, tools etc.
That's the rough plan at the moment, once I get my mitts on the new truck things might change......we'll see.
John
