Default Long Range Tank for WK2 Grand Cherokee

I'm after a long range tank for my WK2 Overland. I understand that there are currently none on the market in Australia. I am waiting for a call back from Brown Davis in Victoria with the option to having one specially built. The only problem is I am in Sydney and if he needs the car to take the measurements I can't get it to him. Does anyone know if they are available in the US (many searches have found none). Failing this can anyone recommend an engineer in Sydney (preferably Penrith area) that would or can make them.

Cheers

Call a mob again here in Melbourne called Long Range Automotive. They are located in Lilydale and I know they make tanks for the WJ & WH Grand's. I had one in my WJ and it was fantastic and they were great to deal with. Not sure how you get someone to donate their WK so they can make one up for you. Maybe because the WK is so popular there will be a few more companies out there that are a bit keener to start to build after market accessories for the Jeep GC. Best of luck on this.

Hi guys,
I have spoken to Kevin at Brown Davis Automotive in Bayswater in Melbourne as they make long range tanks. At present they don't have one on their books but are willing to make one if they can get a vehicle to use as the template. Kevin has mentioned that the person who supplies the car will get a discount on the first tank produced (for the use of their car). Kevin would need the car for 3-4 days and would even consider giving out a loan car for the duration.
I would be more than willing to loan my car but I reside in Sydney.

C'mon guys,
There must be someone in Melbourne that wants a long range tank. I would be there in a heart beat except I live about 12 hours away.
Cheers

Hi Ballypinball,
I tow a 3 ton van which can sometimes drop the range down to around 500km. After a days driving (around five hours is the limit for the wife and kids) you pull into a van park and the very next thing on your to do list is fill up the car before you leave that town, which also means making sure there is a petrol station in that town. My next option if I can't get one made up is to add 3 Jerry cans to the A-frame of the van (not the prefered option).
Cheers
