Default Big Brakes have arrived

Well have finally got around to taking some pics of the brakes that I ordered.

I decided upon the PBR with Red powder coat with red brake lines, look pretty sweet .

Time for a quick update from me. Initially I was disappointed, they were shocking when cold and had no hope of locking a wheel, in fact it would barely stop. As suspected though this was just until the pads had bedded in and the rotors were seasoned. After a few runs yesterday and today the brakes are much better, better than stock already and they still aren't really bedded in yet. A few quick emergency stop and rolls and the brakes will lock predicatably and it pulls up in a nice straight line. The old brakes pulled it to one side and faded very quickly, no such problem now.

They feel better than before, the peddle travel is about the same with only a short amount of travel from nothing to locked but very progressive, much better than before. All up a worthwhile conversion, the final test will be some long steep slow driving downhills to see if they overheat offroad as like my stockers would.

As a bonus now there are no rattles or squeaks from the brakes like before.

Cheers
Steve

Only D30's with unit bearings will work and you have a different stud pattern as well.

I have a similar problem with the WJ when braking pulling to one side and when slightly braking on the freeway I get a bit of shaking on the steering wheel, do you think these are caused by warped dsc rotors.

Just sent through payment for mine. Tony has been great with to-n-fro emails sorting out the details.

Must admit, from reading GoJeep's instructions, the carving up the knuckle is kinda daunting. The rest is just plain nuts-n-bolts stuff.
