Default Door chime off?

On my KK the door open chimes only when I have left the key in the ignition which can be helpful.
On the WH though it does it even when the fob is not in place.
Is there an option to turn off the chime so it is like the KK?

Cheers Marcus

I think this can be turned off,
I was able to turn the seatbelt chime off and with no keys there is no chime.
Can't remember if I turned that off or it was like that.

Hi.
Sounds to me like something is amiss there. My WH only chimes when i leave the fob in the ignition. No fob, no chime.

It might be a 2008+ thing with the full CANBUS system, or like you mentioned not having original locks...

My 2007 Commander (partial CANBUS) doesn't chime unless the key is in the ignition, which was the same as our 2010 KK (which was the update model, but al KK's are full CANBUS anyway), and my 2009 JK (pre-update but again full CANBUS).

This is confusing info, but while I think it has something to do with the CNABUS system, it may be affected by using different locks or something else in your electrical system. Sorry not much help lol

Least all I have to do is leave the wire off the door contact switch, but loose the message at the same time. I will comb through DiagFCA program to see if there is anything in there deeper down in the 'at your own risk' section.
