Default Quadratrac II & auto lockers

I have a WG Grand Cherokee with 4.7litre v8, quadratrac II and open diffs. Was thinknig of installing an Aussie Locker auto locker to the front diff and possibly an elocker to the rear. Was wondering if anybody else has fitted an auto locker to the front, and if it has created any problems when driving around town??

It seems to be a personal thing of which locker where.
Personally I would auto locker in the rear and put a selectable locker in the front.

Correct me if I'm wrong:
The Aussie locker is rear only in WJ/WG?

This is what I found for the front http://www.aussielocker.com/index.ph...ion=62&year=90
The reason I wanted to go auto locker in the front and selectable in the back is because the Grand Cherokee is our 'long roadtrip' car. Did not want to go auto in the rear and have it skip around every corner. In the front I imagined as it's only 4wd when the rear loses traction, the auto locker shouldn't be a problem, but I just wanted to confirm this.

I would go this way also. You can put an auto locker in the front but will need to consider free wheeling hubs as your steering will be affected. Free wheeling hubs however take away the benefit of constant 4wd.

I was under the impression with quadratrac II that in 4wd HI, it was in reality 2wd unless the transfer case sensed the rear wheels spinning at a differant rate to the front, in which case it would then engage the front diff. On the road then surely, wouldn't it be 2wd most of the time??

This is true, but the front diff is still spinning whenever the vehicle is in motion.

Yep good point. That answers my question. No auto locker for the front for me lol. Oh well, back to the more expensive option of selectable lockers
