hopefully the pictures are just of an unfinished prototype? If not i could see the winch and the bumper coping a fair bit of damage.

I believe that it is a prototype Saxon. The article states that they are also working on a similar unit for the rear bumper. Now THAT I'd be interested in seeing.

I think that the front one has a fair amount of inherent strength, and would certainly ne stronger than the original bumber. I'd like to hear how they maintained the airbag functionality though.....

I kinda like the inclusion of the seven slot Jeep cutouts too. I reckon we'd have the recovery points questioned here in NSW too, as they stick out from the flat surface too far. The RTA would knock you back straight away as they would be seen as dangerous to the walking public.

The winch seems pretty well out of harm's way, but I wonder how much room inside the bar there is, so that a low-mount could be used instead... with fairlead rollers as it should have.

im not sure if i like the shape?, it almost looks to streamlined. Still for you guys i suppose its good to seee some ideas of what others are doing for Wjs.

The way they have the winch set up looks like they are going to attach a mounting plate in front with the fairhead there. Would probably look better if they dropped it into the bar if space allowed.

I know the Warn TJ bumper has the recovery eyelets that pretrude further foward than the front of the bumper, but they are not as big.
