Having to remove the manifold to get to them ,stupid design.
Thanks. TBH though, I'm thinking more of disconnecting the glow plug dash light if possible. Do you know if that is a major hassle getting to it and whether that in itself will cause other issues?

I don't think its like the old style little globe holder in a big circuit board affair I think its all integrated in a circuit board so not really, a black dot of tape over the top might be best option...... I try to stay well clear of any dash board stuff unless absolutely needed, horrible place to visit....

odds are it will be a faulty glow plug.
Mine had one plug faulty- started up fine, depending on outside temperature, it would either started with the glow plug fault light flashing on the dash until i switched off the engine, upon a re started the light would disappear for the rest
of the day ir no light sone days.
As mentioned, use a code reader to tell you which and get some penetrating oil around that plug a good few days before attempting to remove it!!,
