Default Battery Replacement -2006 WH CRD GC

I need to replace the battery in my WH CRD GC. Would be interested in opinions on different brands of batteries to suit this vehicle. Maybe someone has recently replaced a battery. I would like to hear from people with good or bad experiences with particular brands.

Regards

Optima Yellow Top. Put it in a year ago and has been brilliant. I have the "extended cranking" problem with my 2003 WG, (new fuel pump install next week), and the battery hasn't missed a beat. They aren't the cheapest around but the quality is sure there.

I replaced one earlier this year on my 2007 WH CRD because the battery simply needed replacing. I hadn't had any issues with it in terms of leaking acid etc. The one replaced was a Century European style.

I replaced it with a MF88H Supercharge Maintenance Free Heavy Duty Battery.

Got it through Online Batteries Website www.onlinebatteries.com.au. Cost $229 plus $22 delivery. It's better than the Century and has a higher CCA rating.

That's a frikken good battery roscoea26. I tried it but couldn't close the bonnet so had to go with SMF85L. Maybe the battery tray in CRD's sits a touch lower but mine definitely couldn't fit it.

You need to get a DIN style battery. Also the ones with the overflow tube to vent and spill away from the ECU. Mine was $199 from batteryworld
