I've been to Japan several times for work. I love it over there.
The people are great, once they realise you aren't American, but then I find that a lot in most countries I've visited.

Just having some Tonkatsu Ramen now. Ippudo Yokohama Bloody muggy here, 36c and 10000000% humidity. Some local craft beer and Gyozas helped last night.
On the Jeep side, I put a dent just under the driver’s side.. due to kissing a big rock at Mt Airly, specifically near Pappy’s Pass, Mt Genowlan track because I was lazy to re-install the rock sliders after grinding off rust, reprimed, repainted and re-straightened the bent sliders, copped that a couple of years ago at Six Stager, now Seven Stager

I have seen those hooks bent on a recovery. There’s also a danger that the recovery strap/shckle may come loose. Can’t be too careful out there.

Same here with the humidity and temp, everyone is saying it is the hottest summer ever!
Can't go wrong with gyoza...monja.....yakitori...beer. Win win.
Been here for three days now and we love it. Already been apartment hunting, what an eye opener that was!

I've been chasing a noise... Whenever I was driving & went around a left curve I was getting a vibration through the whole car & matching whine.
I had a look at a few bits, but came to the conclusion that as it was only left corners & over about 40kph, it is probably the front right, since that is the wheel with the most load.
I had replaced the front uni joints a couple of years ago, and both the front unit bearings, but remembered that I put one of the originals back in & still had a new spare. So yesterday I pulled the front right apart & found, yes, the unit bearing was stuffed. It's so worn that you can see & feel it by just moving the inner & outer parts of it by hand, no extra leverage required. The front right uni joint bearings are also loose. Now I know why I'm also getting vibration at ~100kph from. I thought it was just another out of round tyre. No idea if the uni joint caused the unit bearing to fail, or vice versa, but I put the spare new bearing in & the whine & vibration are gone from left corners now.
Now I just need another new uni joint. And to keep an eye on the unit bearing. It was the new one from a year or so ago, that failed...
