Default Quadra drive?

I was on a track last week with a v8 quadra drive. Mine is quadra track crd but I have a track-lok lsd in the rear and an arb air locker up front. I must say I wasn't impressed with the quadra drive. My car didn't get stuck anywhere even with the locker off while his seemed to be really struggling. It could have been tyres, mine are better, but I was disappointed and expecting better from the quadra drive. Those that have it and know it...is it good in your opinion? Or is my setup preferable? I'm very happy with mine.

Had it on my last Jeep and it was fantastic, just went everywhere I pointed it. Have a look at some of the pics in the grand cherokee pics thread of valpacers WH, doesn't seem to hold him back...

Maybe differences in driver or tyres as you say? What model, was it anyway?

Big difference between quadra drive (WJ) and quadra drive 2 (WH).

I had QD in my WJ, and it was great. Sometimes the oil in the diff (and amount of friction modifier) can cause it to slip more than it should.

A real locker (like QDII) will always be superior, but you'd think that QD would be better than yours if you had your diffs off. Was it flexing? I got stuck on a speedhump once (slightly exagerating) after I put my HD swaybar on its stiffest setting. Undid it, and could go anywhere the Patrols/Cruisers could go.

you must take care of the quadra drive system, always need a fresh new fluid every 12000 mile 75w140 syntactic with some ounces of the modifier friction.and the transfer case special fluid No ATF here just get the moper 247 fluid or the
Mobil 424 .make sure the tires always had equal air amount .

The WJ Quadradrive is very sensitive to which diff oil you use being a hydraulic activation system. As mentioned it should be 70/140 and as lttle friction modifier as possible. I never put any in my WJ (which is how it originally came out) and it worked very well.
