Ahh the dealer 'extended warranty'. the conditions will likely state that you are required to follow the logbook exactly, and it must be serviced at their dealership only, on a time based measurement where km are low (6months or which km comes first) otherwise they have every right to deny any warranty issues. You 'could' purchase this separate to your new car purchase, if you were to bundle it into your new car price, you are going too be paying interest on the warranty purchase (assuming there is finance associated with the purchase).
Try not to get sucked in too deeply on things like paint protection (garbage - its a jeep, I had pin stripes before the first day was finished) and they will need to get you back in for a follow up visit with the soft top in place in order to protect *cough* that too.
If you get the opportunity, ask about GVM upgrades - I'm not sure if there are any for the JK, but if there is, get it done before the car is first registered as it is a pain in the freckle to get it done after the first registration. The GVM of the JKU is such that four adults could travel in your vehicle, but likely not 5, and especially if they are carrying anything crazy like luggage.

Paint and interior protection is the biggest con in the motor industry. You can do exactly the same thing far cheaper in your own driveway.
What a lot of dealers don't tell you is for the paint protection warranty to be honoured, it has to be re-applied every 5 years. And God help you if you have panel damage or stone chips and don't get it re-applied either.
I've upset more than a few dealers telling them what they could do with their protection.
