There is some GREAT guys in Perth... Rogerbone on here is the Jeep Guru... All hail Rogerbone!

Vic from SBR Offroad and Vic from Blackjack Welding can help you with parts (more so SBR offroad as Blackjack is for custom made welding/Armour etc...)
Both these guys know mechanics...

Also Phil from Phil Ross Auto's works on Jeeps (I think he looks after about 5)... he can certainly help you...

I have had a lot of success and cheap deals from Osborne Park Chrysler, as has others on here... Speak with Chris Ludd...

hi willsie. the oil cooler is that tin can (retangular shaped) thing poking off the side of the block under the turbo roughly. you will notice a rubber hose coming off the side of it and disappearing round the front of the engine. that is the coolant hose going back under the inlet manifold where all the water action happens in a group of highly inaccessible hose outlets. the cooler interfaces with the engine cooling system and if the gasket is faulty or develops a leak it fills the cooling system up with oil. it's pretty much just a case of dropping off the hose on the cooler and draining the cooling system, and then removing the cooler, fitting a new gasket and putting it back together again. when replacing the coolant it's best to get the better quality one (a sort of red colour) that lasts up to 5 years. any good quality workshop can do the job, it's not brain surgery. they have been known to blow before. these high tech european engines while putting out huge torque figures for their size are the most stupidly complex things i have ever seen.

Default Oil Cooler. Oil in Water

I have done 2 Oil Coolers in my JK Diesel. 1 @ 15,000 Kms, 2nd 1 @ 115,000.
First one was under warranty, 2nd is not so lucky. Turns into a nasty expense. No parts kept in Australia, ordered from the U.K. and takes a week minimum. Check your warranty.
