Default Water Pump

Hi All

I went to go for a drive yesterday, walk out to my car and its dropping radiator fluid. The water is leaking out of the main pullie which the fan is connected to so i guess thats the water pump.

Could it just be the water pump seal or is this going to be a whole water pump job. And has anyone had this problem?

Yep, waiting on parts as we speak.I ordered mine through Morris4x4 i'm also changing the clutch fan and thermostat while i'm at it.I got a petrol though, so i don't know what the difference in price will be. Try Polly4x4 0395627779 there price was reasonable compared to Mansfield Jeep. I wouldn't go driving it to far either, hope this helps

Check out the servicing 3.7 sticky, I replaced my water pump.... Cost 125 from repco, and the OEM part had a plastic inner the new one has a cast iron, it's an absolute &@$& to do but it can be done.

Mine started the same and yes it is a seal but sometimes they can actually come loose and the internal spinning part of the pump can chip and the bits get into your cooling system. It is actually worth while to replace the whole bugger... You'll need to remove the bottom radiator hose, top radiator hose, belt, viscous fan (this is hard to remove) etc.... The main thing is to remove the bolts on the pump in order as they are different sizes and put them back in order you'll also need two bottles of organic coolant pm me if you want more info on how I did mine...
