can get the unlimited in crd in 2007 not ribicon
So the Unlimited Rubicon will be available with CRD in 2007, but the 2 door will not? Is that right?

If so, does anyone know if the Unlimited CRD will be available right off the bat, ie, arriving with first shipments?

Has anyone seen any reviews of the 2.8 CRD yet? Rembering that the JK's 2.8 CRD is not the one 2.8 CRD from the KJ!? Does anyone know who designed it? I heard it's a cummins? Or is it a Benz, or VM Motori?

New 2.8 is a VM Motori unit. Although we've been told that the "Panther" is all-new, I'm sure it's overall layout and bore spacing will be very similar to the current 2.8.

Main technological change is the adoption of peizo injectors, like the MB 3.0 as used in WH/XH.

I've been quoted outputs of anything from 130kW/410Nm to 150kW/460Nm for the new engine. One Jeep insider even told me that outputs would be different between the two transmissions. More for the auto, less for the manual.

Guess we'll have to wait a couple more weeks to find out for sure.
