The mine is closing so the track should stay as is for a while

I think you were right the first time. I'd count it from the first rock where the 4WD-ing began. The rest was mainly dirt road access prior to that.

Yeh spoke to col last weekend when I was up there, was hard not to smile when he told us!
I had only looked at what they had planned for airlie and they were planning to under mine the whole thing for the next 20 years a magical place like that
By the way, they are still proceeding with current development proposals,
In anticipation for another spike in coal price
