Hey all,

According to the dealer the problem was caused by a dislodged turbo pipe. They have re-installed the pipe, new clamp and cleared the error codes(they wouldn't tell me what the codes where though). Seems back to normal.

Hmmm!!

A lot of dealers disconnect the air inlet pipe to change the oil filter, how do I know, mine was not put back on correctly and 10 k's from the dealership my throttle body light came on. It was after 5.30 pm and the dealer had shut so I had a look myself and discovered the clamp had been done up but the pipe was not pushed over the fitting, just up to it, you could see the clean area where it should have been. Refitted it properly and the dash lights went out after a few starts. It's hard to trust stealerships

Guys,

I would like some opinions on the following of I could (I didn't want to start a new thread).

Whilst at the dealer I spoke to a sales guy on trading my current GC for a new one. Anyway we didn't get to decent number on a new Laredo but rather a demo Limited. Here are the details of the trade and the new one:

Trade - 2014 GC Laredo CRD, essentially stock at trade except for tint and towbar. 74,000kms ans 10 months rego. Colour is Maximum Steel

The new one - A demonstrator GC Limited in Billet Silver. Has 5,000kms and was first registered in June 2015 (so a year old obviously but hardly any kms). Some features that I am not sure if they are standard limited fare include GPS, Cooled/ventilated seats, powered tailgate. No towbare fitted.

The dealer came up with a change over price of $24,000 DA. My counter was $20,000 DA but a towbare to be fitted and full 12 months rego.

I would appreciate feedback on the dealer offer as well as my counter offer.

Cheers,

Andrew

the limited will have 20 inch rims from factory. Blokes like the 18's more for off road stuff, but it will have more fruit than the Laredo. Its your money mate so try and get everything for nothing. Be prepared to walk though, they will soon chase ya down if they want the sale. And throw in an extended warranty for what its worth. Also, some people are not a fan of a demo, who knows where its been.

KJ,

I have a set of brand new AT's in the garage on 18 inch Laredo wheels (will only use them for off road trips). I will take the Uneek nudge bar and light bar from my current GC (discussed with the dealer) and last week I pre-paid for a Dobinson 2 inch lift.

From a condition point of view the demo looks immaculate but like you said who know's where it has been. I will be going hard if they want to get rid of the demo. I think what turns people off is the age rather than the kms and this is also a big thing for me also.
