My work car is a 2.8 Hilux and I find it to have the most uncomfortable driving position of any car I've driven, it doesn't have a lift and scrapes on everything and has it's share of issues.
I used to have a 2012 Grand Cherokee and I reckon it would go more places than the the Hilux and do it in comfort. I took my Grand some places that surprised a lot of people, although it did have the off road pack and air suspension.
I think with a few mod's to yours you will easily keep up with the others.

Thanks spoondog.

It's great to hear from someone with experience in both vehicles, I do agree the GC is damn comfortable!

Just wondering, I've heard some owners fit 18" rims to their GC limited as it increases the availabilityof offroad tyres that are available, is there any truth to that?

Yes, very true. I believe most do fit 18's though if you optioned up with the Offroad Pack, 18s came as part of that pack. I have a Limited with this pack and find I can go most places without too much difficulty especially with more appropriate tyres etc.

more choice bt also increased survivability offroad. Sidewall is important and i sure as hell wouldn't want to be running 45/50 profile tyres offroad.

The standard rims that come with the Laredo are 18 inch and they’re popular with people who have bought the other versions
