Default HELP My indicators make me look retarded

I've searched the forums and have not seen anyone report this weird problem I'm having with my 07 JK Wrangler.

Sometimes when I turn on the right turn signal, the left one will come on momentarily, then the right one comes on and blinks normally. I first noticed it while using the "momentary three-blink" feature. I lift the control to activate the right signal and the left one blinks three times!! Even when I lift it all the way to lock the right signal on, it will occasionally light the left light for a split second and then start blinking the right signal. Has anyone else experienced this? Or know of any fixes? To me, this is not only a major safety issue, but it also makes me seem retarded. Anyone have any ideas on the solution?

Have noticed a couple of time on my 2007 also.
Put it down to being old & starting to wear out.
Probably needs replacing.

Might take it to my local auto electrican and see what they make of it....
EDIT: replaced the indicator stalk with a preloved one found at the wreckers and issue is gone
