just dont trade a car in on the deal to start with, that always puts you behind the 8 ball.
also haggling, well get them to give you the price, then when they give it to you, ask if they can do better, when they say no, tell them to go and talk to manager and get a better deal, you are keen and will buy today or go elsewhere and be standing so its obvious you will be ready to leave.
