Default Checkerplate corners

How much are the rear checkerplate corners? I had a run in with a truck last week, and sustained some damage on the right rear corner. He's paying for repairs, but once he gives me the dough, I might look at some options. Since I am putting checkerplate strips under the doors, I thought I might go for corners too.
By the way, taillight assemblies are nearly $400 each!
The boss says "what about when you sell it?", I just look at her with my mouth open.....
Who has them, how much?

If the taillights are toast, get the $$, then invest in some that you can flush mount.
As for the corners, well I'd suggest getting the chequer plate, and having it bent as required - then just cut the required holes & shape yourself...

PK, we flog the propper U.S. type tail light here for $130+ the Get Stuffed Tax each! the lenses are available one at a time too for a lot less. the aussie ADR lite is too dear to replace if YOU bust a lens.

then flog the other side unit to some one when they need it for a bit less.

you need to run a seperate 3" rev lite that shime a lot better than the ADR ones..

You can buy checkerplate corners from big balls offroad. AUS$170

They are 2-3mm aluminium and cover nicely on the sides. At the back though they seem to only go as far as the middle of the light or thereabouts.

They already have all the holes cut and are bent to fit.

cheers

On the tail lights - if you don't get tw's then I would suggest you try Jeep wreckers like Mascots or Lemon Tree passage or Jeeeparts....You might get lucky and find some from a totalled TJ.

As for the big balls 2-3mm alloy corners - I thinks 2-3mm is too thin....I'd be looking at 5mm Alloy The corner is nice & big - it would be a very simple bend....Then just use a jigsaw to cut it - peice of cake, stronger and cheaper...
Anywasy that's just my 2¢...
