Wait and get windows 8 when it's released this year. Lots better for a person who is looking at streaming and being a media orientated pc. My2c

I would also 3rd the apple idea, twice the price, twice the use ability, lasts twice as long.

I'm gonna have to disagree with you there. Apple runs the same hardware as windows machines and do not last any longer. They also have less uses than windows with a lot more software support for windows. They have there place though. If you're looking for a simple to use no hassle computer and don't mind the price tag by all means buy a Mac. Otherwise just upgrade windows whenever you need to it really doesn't matter. People are still running 98 for home computers.
