Default TJ: Nick's Build

Hi guys, some may remember me from my old TJ some may not but just for fun ill post up my old TJ & mods and then the new one & plans.

Old Tj was sold at the start of last year,

had:

4.6L stroker all forged internals stage 2 kit from 505performance
doubles valve springs
stage 2 cams lifters and pushrods with HD timing chain
24lb/hr injectors
1.25"body lift
2" susp and some 33" wrag tires
arb air leaker
custom cage.

was a defect magnet, picked up 7 defects in one hit
and very unique sound and bloody fun to drive, never launched it but had a go at a few of the dirtsprintz practices and was great!
but blew a standard diff and then also blew the star gears in the arb locker not long after install along with the axles.

now the new ride i picked up is an 06 wrangler with only 43,000 on the clock
has 4"skyjacker LA kit with 6"shagginson (dobbinsons) coils + 1" body lift, 33" tires on standard rims with 1" wheel spacers to pump out the stockies a bit and thats it other than some front a rear bar and side steps!

The first thing i did was buy 5 pro comp rims, transfering the look majorly from

this:

to this:

the plans for this car are:

4" rubicon coils
Remote Res shocks all round, looking at FOX or KING depending on funds
front and rear diff & knuckle truss along with all Control arm and panhard ect brackets being braced

Hydraulic Bumptops
going to look at some custom steering setups
and a general tidy up of the car

so far ive purchased/ordered:
bendix brake pads
all new Heim joints from drag tec customs
got new steering dampner bush's from pedders
axle seal, grab handles & got some JKS disco's on order from wooders
5 pro comp rims
arb rear bar "rebuild kit" for the busch and latch
should be picking up set of 4.5" coils off a mate who no longer runs them.

once the heims arrive ill order the rubber ends from caloffroad but im looking into replacing all the joints with heims as they are just as cheap but last even longer although before i make a decision i would like to know all pro's and con's so any input is great and if anyone wants any parts that have come off or are coming off in the build let me know!!

cheers.

Yeah you are right but doesn't stand out as much which is a plus, qld = fail.

After chatting with a few blokes I'm not going to go heim at both ends as there will be too much feedback through the chassis. Gonna keep rubber busch's on one end.
