Here's a link to the ACMA website
http://engage.acma.gov.au/400-mhz-changes/
Currently the steps between channels are 25Khz, they are becomming 12.5Khz.
Might be time to start planning an upgrade of those old 40channel only uhf radios.
Hi guys,

I am not very good with technology but what I can understand is that the channels on my old radio 1, 2, 3, 4, 5....... will be equivalent to the new 1, 3, 5, 7, 9........

Correct me if I am wrong but that wont render my radio useless....

Cheers

Mani

Hi Timotrog
I was just being a sm@rtass s#i$ stirrer when I said illegal - im actually looking @ the GME TX3340 remote head - i have a spare plastic top for my JK dash - there is some talk by uniden of there being an upgrade possibility for my old rig - i wont hold my breath though. I have been very happy with my Uniden - would be a shame to have to dump it!
cheers Hunty

Smile JK ers - check your Jeep!

Hi Guyz
I was reprogramming my aeroforce gauge earlier today and noticed that I had a bolt almost completely out - it had worked loose somehow.

As I stated in my Cape trip report that nothing had worked loose and my Jeep had survived the nearly 8,000km trip so it must have worked loose since then LoL

I am not sure what the bolt does and didnt really look into it - my guess is that it has something to do with lowering the front windscreen - that or its structural / roll cage related D'oh.

My advice to all JKers is take a look and see if yours is OK

its easy to get to .......

theres an access whole in the plastic A pillar trim

Cheers Hunty
