Smile Excited - 2low

I am all excited
just opened a package from DBoR - 2 Low adaptor - thanx heaps Billy for the awesome deal! (check out their new website, its on special atm - http://www.doubleblackoffroad.com/

It has p1$$3d me off since I bought my JK that reverse is a higher gear than 1st.

Can anyone tell me why the retards at Jeep think we want to go faster in reverse than 1st??????????????? - seriously, its near impossible to back a trailer up a small hill, i have been using 4low for years to back stuff - and yes I know what a crazy strain it is on the whole undercarriage to back in low 1st on bitumen.

So this is why I bought the 2 low adapter - i now have
2H
2L
N
2L
4L
Yay - I should now be able to back 3tons up Ayres Rock at less than walking pace without the smell of dying clutch - (I run 33's on 4.56's) 4th gear idling in low range is walking pace

Has anyone done this mod b4 ? any advice ?
cheers Hunty

I been looking at tis myself hunty but I just can't work out why I would need it reversing in 2h for me with a trailer isn't a problem I have a rubicon. does anyone know if the rearing is different in the gearbox for a rubicon over a sport?? Yes I know the tcase is different but as hunty said he has the rubicon t case but his is a sport.. I also run stock gearing 4.10 and 35's i dont have any issues. How heavy is the trailer?

Gearbox is the same Rubi to Sport, diff ratios are normally different, though I believe Hunty has 4.1's so the drivetrain is the same speed as the Rubi.

Reversing a trailer is not an issue. Reversing a trailer up hill is the problem.
