Default Likely stupid question

I am thinking about swapping my axles out.

The deal is for front and rear, from a 1996 TJ.
Comes with ARB Air Lockers, and ARB Diff Covers.
The deal is $1500 plus a few hours labor to swap. Is this a decent deal?

I have also previously thought I had a 99 which is what I bought it as, but it turns out I have a 2001 Sport.

I just wanted to make sure that I am not stupid and that this one is a Dana 30:

And this is the Dana 44 for the rear:

2001 will have a rear Dana 35 with ABS brakes. I not sure if you will still have ABS capability once changed over - I think not.

Well at least it wasn't a stupid question then...

That is good to know, however, I was pretty sure the one on the back of mine is the odd shaped 44...:

Thanks again...not that i care if i have ABS or not...prefer not...as long as it fits.

Pretty sure that all the 2000 & 200I are 35's

If you have ABS now it is a 35, not fitted to any other diff.

There will be warning lights and stuff that will have to be blanked off.

Can you elaborate on "and stuff"?
I don't care less about warning lights, etc.
But will the 44 axle fit with no modification?
ie. Driveshaft, Suspension, Mounts, Bushes, etc.

Not sure about modification requirements, sounds like it just swaps straight over.

Some just pull the ABS fuse, others remove abs system.

so bare in mind you are removing a safety feature from your vehicle which is probably illegal.

Understood. I always pull my ABS fuses anyway in other cars.

Also, I just got under the car quickly...there are no electric lines/wires going to the front calipers or rear drums...

So the pic of my actual rear diff is not a D44?
Everything i look at shows the D35 being more of an oval...

Also, reading online seems that the 35 was standard, and 44 was optional?

Otherwise, the deal sounds ok? Or am i getting completely shafted and blinded by the pretty ARB stuff (which i was planning on eventually anyway).
