Default Went to Mt Disappointment, VIC

Well today i went for a drive out Wandong Way to Mt Disappointment. This is about half hour drive from my place so thought id take my Commander out for my first time 4x4ing. I have put in a 2" lift and Bridgestone AT's and after todays little adventure i had a ball and think the Commander is an excellent off road vehicle.

I only went by myself so i wasnt going to try any boggy tracks. So i took the journey, Turning off the Hume at Wandong then taking Scanlons RD, Sheils RD, onto Main Mountain RD then Down Raynors RD. This road has quite a steep decent to the bottom of the hill and very rutted/rocky towards the bottom. But was more than confident in the Commander and made it easy. At the bottom i went Right onto Westcott RD and UP the hill along Escreets RD. This road was VERY steep going up at the start and quite rocky but again the Commander didnt even brake a sweat. This took me back to Main Mt Rd where i crossed onto Lords RD and went down through Hillers RD.

I had a great time, Just me and my Jeep, and was very happy the way it went through all the different terrains. The was loose gravel roads, some damp clay tracks, few small muddy ruts and a bit of rocky rutted roads. The Commander didnt spin the wheels through any of this. Mind you cause i was alone i wasnt going to see how far i could push it.

This was my day today. :

It's good that you were responsible and didn't get yourself in to trouble. It's very nice out there. You should invest in some self recovery gear, even a hand winch and a couple of decent straps. Maybe a shovel? Jeep looks good.
Well Done.
