Yeah I've got all braided lines.
When the front start to fade I can feel the rear starting to do most the work. I'm using Repco rear pads

The undersized brakes for the 33"s would be the problem maybe better pads will help but if the wheels are generating too much force the little pads in comparison will not be able to dissipate the heat. In the race car we use EBC I don't know whether they will have them for an XJ but you can get pads that have rated tolerances to heat. Another brand I've tried before are ankibono (I think that's how you spell it) and they were really good

I've run both EBC Green and Red in the past and they are brilliant - almost no brake fade and dustless to boot. The Reds take a little time to warm up though...

They do a 4WD marketed pad, plan to run them when I eventually go 33s and WJ front, Ford 8.8 rear brakes.

Default What did you do to your XJ today ?

Finished fitting the rest of the bar a tyre carrier. Pretty happy with it, just wish I had got it with the Jerry Can carrier as well
