So, today I went and picked up a bargain for the XJ. A 345 klm round trip. Anyhoo, half way around, and the XJ develops a horrible clunk!! Stopped a half dozen times to check it out and decided it must be the exhaust hitting something... Then the handling goes out the window. Hmm. Me thinks a shocky shite itself??
Got home and crawled under to find the top shock mount bolts to the D/S shock, GONE!!
Bit of paint missing from the floor but otherwise no damage...(sigh)
