I bought a great piece of kit from Wooders, a set of brackets to mount my High Lift Jack between the rear roll bars
I loved having it inside, secure & safe from the elements however it annoyed the hell outta me, it was always in the way no matter what I wanted to do I had to remove it.
I noticed that Jason aka JBrad had a really nice bracket on the back of his JK to hold his HighLift - he told me it came from Wooders..........
I was very excited to install it and get my highLift outta my Jeep! I bought a padlock to safeguard my Jack and rushed home to install.
To say that I was "Unhappy Jan" when I had finished was an understatement LoL my extra long shaft looked like a periscope LoL
what to do - return the exterior bracket, modify the bracket somehow, put the jack back inside? or Circumcise it (Jack).
Out with the angle grinder - select a super fine cutting disc and a minute or so latter - a very nicely modded High lift Jack.
I am now very happy to have the Jack outside my Jeep (until it gets stolen LoL) I cut it off 10mm lower than my front spotlights on my upper light bar
I am still figuring out how to keep it from rattling on bumpy roads - you can see all the cable ties and bungy cords I am using LoL
Cheers Hunty
ps - I am just refitting my roof bars to my new rear bar - it won't look so agricultural soon
