Default MJCQ - Canungra Swap Meet and Field Day 2011 - 14th-16th October

For those not aware and wanting to check out some awesome Military Jeeps the Canungra Swap Meet and Field Day 2011 is on this weekend - 14th-16th October.

Canungra Sports & Recreation Reserve
Coburg Rd, Canungra Qld

Military re-enactments and prizes for best military site display,
rarest World War II vehicle and other military vehicle sections.
SPECIAL EVENT: "Cooee to all WWII GMC Vehicles"


Friday
6am Arrival and Set Up
6pm Free Sausage Sizzle
7pm Tech Night / Movies and Kids Entertainment

Saturday
9am All Vehicle Run
Static WWII Displays
Re-enactments
2pm Gymkhana
6pm Club Dinner / Kids Movies
Later WWII unusual object displays

Sunday
6am Swap Meet Opens
Vehicle Judging Starts
10am Main Arena Activities
12Noon Awards / Prizes / Raffles


General Day Admission $3pp each day
Camping Fees: 1 Night/2 days = $17.50*\
2 Nights/3 days = $22.50*
*Includes free sausage sizzle on Friday night
Saturday Night Dinner - 2 Course Meal = $7.50
Children under 16 eat free

Sorry, no pets permitted at Canungra Sports and Recreation Reserve

Just got back, shot down their for a look this morning (just round the corner from my place), quite a big turnout and some real nice old school jeeps.

Great swap meet too.

Heard a rumor when I lived in Canungra years ago.

The US Military drove their Jeeps and other equipment into cave(s) around that area and buried it.
