Default Possessed Jeep

For the last week my JK has been randomly going crazy. The usual possessed episode entails the horn going on and off constantly, wipers going and window washers on full blast, all this even continues if I take the key out of the ignition. Mechanic has checked over it and his scanning equipment didn't throw any codes. He also got a Chrysler guy out to scan and found nothing. I've been researching and it sounds as though the TIPM is gone, seems like a common issue with early JK's and is not cheap to fix. Not really wanting to change this first off. Are there any other things to look at? My jeep can't be driven as it can happen anytime and is quite dangerous. Any thoughts? Any help is greatly appreciated.

Default Burn it at the stake!!!

Imagine waking up to find your car’s windows rolled down, the blower motor running and the radio blasting. You have a couple logical explanations here:
◦The car is possessed and needs to be burned.
◦The car has a defective totally integrated power module (TIPM).

Honestly, I’m not sure which is worse.

check your battery terminals are tight. Mine did all sorts of crazy stuff when the negative cable was slightly loose.

I have read of several cases of random electronic switching due to bad earths.

The CANBUS that controls things is a digital data network. A bad earth or faulty component can be causing noise on the line that is triggering things to switch on/off. In the case of computer networks I have seen the same thing happening when there was a faulty switch or network adaptor causing random network slowdowns & data corruption.

Yeah. Even if this is not your problem (yet), do yourself a favor and bin the original tin crap ones.
Fit HD equipment ones with bolts. It could save you a lot of heartache in the future at least.

I've had similar to that - the possessed feeling - it turned out to be a loose connection under the dash somewhere - dust blown out and reseated connection and problem solved. No codes for mine either.
