They also made other versions including turbo 350 and turbo 700 4 speed

These were not used in Jeeps though. Original question I think was referring to "Turbo Hydro Matic" as is pressed into the pan on early FSJ autos. These are Turbo 400 internals in a case with an AMC belhousing pattern. Very early ones were GM case with an adapter plate.

I realise that i was just saying that the turbo 400 isnt the only turbo hydro matic transmission to try and avoid any confusion

hey, i just joined. this is my sj.
it's got a 4" shackle / spring rearch lift with rancho 9000's (soon to be 6" spring), holley and hei on a 258, 33" mt's, d44/amc20 and 3.31 gears (??moving to 3.57 or 4.10), a full rebuild by the previous owner and loads of other stuff added or replaced by me.

I couldnt find a 2 dr when i went looking, so i wound up with the 4dr. I suppose the benefit is in not having 2 constantly crank my seat forward to access the back- NOT that my charger wasn't sweet, mind you!! Anyhow do you know where the 4" shackle / spring rearch lift was sourced?
