Default OZ parts suppliers

Hi guys sorry maybe I'm still not up to speed with searching on the forum, I would like to start servicing my 2006 CRD WH 3.0ltr myself for obvious reasons.... Can everyone point me I the right direction or even post up some links of where they purchase their parts, filters oil etc.

Cheers Mark

Depending on time, availability, price, etc;
* Repco (mainly coz it's very close and I have an account.).
* RockAuto - http://www.rockauto.com/

And for random stuff which they don't have;
* http://www.quadratec.com/
* http://www.justjeeps.com/
* http://www.factorychryslerparts.com/

RockAuto generally have the largest range and best prices.
But it is often worth clicking around and even googling part numbers to see what random sites come up.
I occasionally find some parts listed at hugely different prices.

Just remember that just coz something comes from half way around the world with a US brand-name, doesn't mean it's better. So IMO it's worth seeing what you can get easily from your local parts store (whoever it is.), especially for bulky things which can cost a lot to ship.

Try the Mercedes benz forums as well as they make the engine and transmission in the WH CRD.

Hi My WH CRD, 2006 by vin no: 2007 by sales talk.
Oil I get from the Local Oil distributer:
engine:
10 ltrs Mobil Devac 1 5 -40 $170.00

Transmission and transfer case:
Penrite ATF Multi syn 8 ltrs $86.00
(It has been suggested I cange that to Fush oils Bursons.

Diff Oil
Castrol SAF XA both diffs 4 ltrs $105.00

Brake Fluid
Castrol Responce I ltr $23.10

Radiator coolant
Val Zerex Go -5 conc 5 ltr $38.00

Filters:
I have found Burnsons (ex car bitz) and Sydney Filters competive with USA suppliers.
eg last engine filter $15.00 Bursons and about $18.00 Sydney Filters from memory.
Transmission filter ex Burnsons about $35.00

On other bits, Just double check ebay, I suspect some aftermarket parts ex USA are coming out of Thailand.
And going Thailand direct (ebay) the pricing is even better than USA.
I have experienced parts advertised as ex USA and even here are actually being posted from Thailand!

Has anyone found a power steering fluid? I am stuck there.

Thanks Clarky

I have been runing the same AFE washable filter for a few weeks now seems to help with throttle response but I did also remove the blade out of the throttle body and the baffle out of the kidney bean like thing between the intercooler and turbo so may have been that also.

Cheers mark
