Default Best Brake Rotors & Pads for WH Grand?

DBA 4WD rotors and lined with Bendix 4WD pads. The rotors are designed for the heat generated whilst offloading and the pads are the same with the added benefit of no dust at all.

Not the cheapest combo around hut arguably the best.

I can vouch for the Bendix 4x4 pads. I only have an XJ but with what I carry I am sitting on close to 2000kg. I have had no issues with brake fade ever on steep hills and hard braking; like I did on Protex HD pads. I would suggest getting them from a shop though as I bought a set off Ebay and they didn't seem the same as the new ones I bought from Car Parts Plus in Adelaide, even though they were in the same packaging.

Regards A

Go the akebono pads!

I have done 70,000 k,s on my pads and rotors already

I imported US made drilled and slotted stoptech rotors for my Jeep 2 years ago with akebono pads

Rotors are hardly worn so are pads done 70,000 k,s already admittedly I don't tow much but love how my wheels don't get black all the time with these pads

I also use the akebono's on my supercharged Jaguar I like them on that car

Hey Doc,
Did you notice that they were more effective in pulling the vehicle up?

Cheers, Craig

I have the Akebono pads on solid DBA rotors.
I'm only comparing against two sets of the OEM pads, so not much to go on, but I did notice a good improvement, especially once I compared with the mud tyres (265/75 17s) on.
Definitely less dust too, which is great... not sure if that means they eat the rotors more or something? But so-far so-good.

I'm not a fan of drilled or slotted rotors on 4wds, or any street-car really.
But I know lots of people swear by them.

What's everyone's thoughts?
