Default Cruise control help

Hi,

Just fitted the factory cruise control switches and the CC special "clockspring" then tried out the cruise control, no action!

Measured the voltages on the wirng harness down under the column, yes the right voltages get trhough to the harness from the steering.

( no need for the vacuum reservoir or cable on diesel XJ)

I don't get the crisue working.

Anyone got ideas other than new computer needed?

Cheers

DXJ

dxj, where did you get the CC from? Can they help you? I have heard that Polly4x4 has the factory unit for sale and I have emailed them several times but they have not returned my emails.

Hi,

Got the cruise control from Jeep. Haven't asked yet.

Mountainman, no problem, just self inflicted, was hoping someone might know if Jeep need to plug in and turn on in software or something silly like that before I start trying to describe the problem to the dealer.

Cheers

Hi,

Took some work to sort it out!
First went to lincorp Jeep service and they said they couldn't find anything wrong!

Then went to automaster, they recommended replace of the computer.

So Lincorp then quoted something like $2800.00
Back then mine was just off warranty and I got a new computer for 75% off from Jeep aus (after some argument).

Good luck!

Cheers

WOW I won't be spending that on it.
I will see what John from Automaster comes up with.
The scanner shows that my CC is not on & that my AC is the same too. AC works fine? Go figure.
Thanks mate. Wish me luck.
