Just leave the reversing brake lock out engaged, There will be no for and aft movement.

I have electrics on my Down Under Trailer and they work great, easily turned off if you wish to.

you need trailer brakes if your trailer is rated at 750kg plus but i think any trailer with a load is better off with a braking system. Electric brakes system is best. You can buy the handbrake kit from any of the vendors already suggested. It can bolt onto your trailer towbar and under the orac coupling. Cheers

Is it possible to have override brakes fitted to a trailer with an orac coupling.I thought the handbrake assembly would have to be where the orac coupling sits.

I haven't heard of an ORAC override coupling in Australia and a search failed to locate one. The TREGG or one of the other off road couplings (Trigg, Hyland, etc) do come in mechanical override models.

I have a poly block over ride coupling on mine with cable operated disc brakes, they are less maintenance than electric drums but less effective....
