Default Help with a part

Hi,

I have a 2013 GC CRD 3.0. It has a metal pipe that has been leaking for a while. It was at a workshop and they removed the pipe by removing the intake manifold and then they had to remove the turbo as well. They welded the joint that was leaking and put it back.

The bad luck is that it leaked from the same spot. They say they will do the job again but will now put a new part instead of welding it so that they don't have to do it again.

The part Number is MOPAR Tube 68147606AB. Checked from City Jeep Mel and it costs 750 AUD. Its bit high for me. I have looked at moparpartsgiant and it costs 260 USD + I will have to figure out Shop Mate costs. Rock Auto do not have that part.

What other options can I explore to reduce the cost and get the part? any supplier in Australia? or aftermarket?

I'm pretty sure I've seen where people cut the busted bit out, flare the ends of the pipe and out some high temp silicone hose on there

Yes, I’ve read that as well.
