Default My Dodgy Winch Plate

Hi all,

Found myself at the recycling section of the Tip yesterday, staring at a 1m U section and thought to myself that it might make an ok winch plate. if nothing else, it'll be usable for welding practice.

$8 - Bargain. It's heavy as though.

Cut it to length yesterday before I ran out of daylight. Had another stab at it today, did some more cutting and lots of drilling.

Pic doesn't show much, just the potential plate as found. No current pics though. I'll take some when I can.

Dave

It's not that heavy, and I'll be cutting a lot off it. It was cheap and convenient.

Back to it in a few days

Dave

True but then there's plain overkill, most winching plates are 5 or 6 mm just to save on weight
