Default Sold the Jeep

Well after three years we made the choice recently to sell the JKU and do something different. I have really appreciated the help, advice and wonderful input from all on this forum. I will still be around but not as much as I am not sure how many will be able to help with my new addition. Whilst we loved the JKU and all the benefits some recent health issues with SWMBO caused us to look at life a little different and do something we have talked about doing for years, that is get ourselves an old classic muscle/cruiser car that is extremely impractical, heavy on fuel but big on power. No we didn't put a hemi in the JKU, we bought one of these

It's a 67 ford Thunderbird hardtop. Big stock standard weighing in at a little over two Ton and pushed along by a little 390ci (6.4 litre) V8 with a C6 auto and a 9"diff. I know it won't go to Fraser Island or anywhere that isn't flat smooth and black but it was the time to do it and life is way too short for what ifs. Thanks again to everyone that has helped with advice and posted threads that have helped me out over the years. Thanks also to those who have helped out by purchasing the gear I no longer needed. For the record I don't believe I will save one cent in car parts as this will be an ongoing project for us as well as a major source of enjoyment.
Cheers

Cheers Stavros, bitch to park, turning circle like an Abrams tank, drinks fuel like a 3.8 petrol JK BUT sooooo looking forward to the power of the 390 and the car shows etc. apparently when they first came out they were either a love em or hate em deal but I reckon it's pretty good looking myself. Only 15000 of this specific model made in 67 so it's also like trying to find a bag of rocking horse crap at a race track[emoji6] parts are going to be hard to source but at first look doesn't need a lot so far but time will tell.
