I hate those things. They think because they have a number plate that they are allowed on the roads.... But should they be if the max speed is like 10km/hr??????

Are they allowed on roads? I saw a guy driving in a lane in a 60 zone doing maximum or 15km/h. Dangerous. They are worse then cyclists.

The other day in Adelaide an old chap using one of these "gophers" crossed the road and got cleaned up by a 4x4 and the TV footage had the gopher wedged under a bull bar. I thought - oh no, here we go again, ban the bull bar etc. The commentary said that it was unlikely that the police would be pressing charges - I think that's code for the old chap came out when he shouldn't have and paid a pretty high price (not sure if he's made it yet).
They are bloody dangerous in the wrong hands - I came over a crest about 8 km out of Tailem Bend one evening and nearly ran into one of these mad old men tootling down the road, on his way back to the nursing home I guess - I can guarantee that if I'd been driving a B double he would have had to have been washed off the grill.
