Howdy all, well we all know how jeep like to stick 600% onto everything they sell.
I have seen threads on here stating how expensive it is to replace your key's.
I went to Northstar Jeep at redcliffe and they quoted me $176. Thinking this had to be a trick i said alright anyway, a week later they called to say they had my key (I was bringing in the front left freedom panel to have a new foam pack put on it, last week of warranty). as usual they ordered a key that did not fit my jeep. I can back a week later in the morning only to be told I would have to leave my JKU for the whole day just to get the key cut and coded because they were busy. Of course I said get stuffed, so they assured me that if i brought it in early the next day it would only take an hour. I rocked up at the stealership the next morning with
my 8 month old son with me (though i could stroll around the shops accross the road from the stealership with my babyfor the hour)
It took jeep 4 hours to get the key cut and coded, anyone with kids will understand how hard I was working to stop my 8 month old baby from going OFF from this time delay.
ANYWAY...Jeep handed me the key and said 'no charge' becasue of how they stuffed me around......it took a few seconds for it to register with me.
So you can get something from a jeep stealership for free!
