fully boxed chasis,,front shackle reversal,,hj-60 front cruiser springs all round,,transplanted 351 clevo,,+6" wheelbase,,fabbed motor mounts and crossmembers,,,etc etc etc.....one day i'll finish it......

I have managed to make a swing away spare wheel carrier. It uses trailer bearings and stub axle for the hinge and has a gas strut that helps open it and keeps it open. I still have to clean it up a bit and stiffen the mounting points to the towbar better and paint it white and get a better locking mechanisim for it but is ok for now but in the time I had to make it its pretty good.

Most of the mounting is hidden behind the bumper so it can be easily taken off (one bolt) and it looks faily stock

Nice tire (tyre?) carrier.

I especially like the use of the gas strut. Very innovative.
