is the cost more related to the fact injuries in a bike accident even a minor one end up costing the insurance co lots more compared to a car accident ? especially with all the air bags in cars these days ,so they just passing on the cost to the rider.

I agree it's fooked, I price up a greenie for the new bike I'm getting and it cost as much as my jeep greenie... They had a petition against this years ago but the government got it's way. Hopefully this one does better.

CTP does not cover the rider of the bike for their own injuries if they are at fault, and if a bike hits a car it would have to be a big hit to injure anyone in the car, and if the bike is hit by a car then the cars ctp covers the rider, that just leaves pillion passengers.

but the ctp insurer of the car that hits a bike will most likely be charging more for bike ctp to cover the extra cost, as the all the insurance companies cover both cars and bikes .
