Hi Guys...
Been a while since I've been here. I was checking the site to see if anyone had ordered parts from VM but the only one I found is quoted above and that was dated 2009

My KJ CRD has been going great - only issue I have had was the clutch which was worn out and rebuilt May 2015 by Trans Gears & Diffs at Thomastown Vic who did a great job albeit pricey but thats the parts costing heaps!

Now up for the 200,000 km Timing chain ect replacement.

Has anyone recently done the comparison with buying from VM Diesel in the UK and getting quotes from the dealership.

My 100,000 chain ect was purchased through them in Nov 2011 and at the time it was a big saving on buying from dealership.
With the drop in the AUD before I hit VM for a price just thought I would touch base and ask if anyone up to date with comparative pricing.

Cheers,
Elle

Try IDParts in the US, they have everything you need for a timing belt change.

Note that they are supplying the water pump replacement as well, which probsbly needs doing at 200,000km.
George at VM Specialist UK probably still supplies but they can be a bit difficult to communicate and irder with. IDParts ordering is online, and they ship fast. Have a look at all the other stuff they have for the KJ CRD.

Last time I went through George I had real issues. Extended delivery times and then they sent me the wrong water pump and to get my money back was a real struggle and took several months with some dodgy stories being told. He seems to get new office staff every couple of weeks too. I will go elsewhere from now on if I have any choice.

Be careful on the water pump as there are subtle differences on the ones we have here.
