How often does that hose need guys? I read its a common thing that they go but no indication on how often. Checked the turbo while I was at it and feels fine. No play in any direction.

Just wondering if there is a reason you aren't fitting aftermarket silicon hoses (samco). This will fix your replacement interval concerns. Just make sure you fit them with appropriate clamps so you don't damage/cut the new hoses.

I didn't know that you can get them from samco as well. Thanks for the info mate, i will look into it if that hose goes again. I guess the one i replaced was 10 years old.

Darn. Was returning from up north today and had my first occurance of the ignition key interlock cable seizure, can't remove the key, and the rear driver side window lifter broke as well. Some maintenance required.

Bought a brand new set of Samco hoses for a bargain price of $120 on ebay.
Been looking for 5 months now to buy, but it has always been over priced.
Also bought bushings and Moog ball joints as well as a TJM XGS Gold lift kit suspension. Just waiting for the press tool to arrive so I can start fitting the parts.

I also found a company called PolyTuff in Brendale (Brisbane) who are fitting poly bushes to the rear lower control arm. They are fitting all four for less than $90 as I will be a test subject.

Stu from Murchinson recently fitted some secondhand control arms, but I was still getting some movement at the back. At closer inspection it seems the seconhand bushes already started tearing, hence why I decided to get poly bushes.

There are several sources of bushes, hopefully you didn't get the Crowne ones as they don't last. You want OEM Mopar ones from places like Morris 4x4 in the US, they carry all of them and you can go through the online diagrams so don't have to have the part number.
Honestly I am sceptical about polyurethane bushes on KJ suspension, as the steel tube inside a rubber bush provde a degree of cushioning of harsh jolts. They have been discussed on the forums over the years but the consensus seemed to be that they were better suited to WRXs and not offroad vehicles. It will be interesting to see how you go. I suspect the ride will get very harsh and corrugations will be a nightmare - but if you never go offroad it probably doesn't matter.

The bushes I got are made in Taiwan by an OEM maker, they are not Crown.
I think they are made by Lii Chau Industries in Taiwan.

I agree with the use of poly bushes in that they may introduce vibration, but I don't mind being a test subject. The weak points seem to be the bushes with voids.
I will report back on my findings once I have tested them.
