Transmission removed and sent to the rebuilder can't believe the price difference from one side of brisbane to the other 4 quotes from the south side from $4500 up to $5500 queensland automatics on the north side $2500 unbelievable

Default No more plastic wheel cover

Finally got a few minutes to do something to the KJ while the youngest two kids were asleep.

Goodbye plastic spare wheel cover:



Next job, make up some brackets for the second hand cargo "pet" barrier I just picked up free and fit that in too.

Same here. I made up a number plate bracket and then added a LED reversing light under the plate. Now I can actually see stuff when reversing.

Put the rebuilt transmission back in after 10 weeks driving the wifes KK damn its good to be back in the KJ so much nicer to drive. Transmission feels better than ever not to clunky on the changes and only on the downshift when it is.Click image for larger version
