The top face of my ARB front bar has been slowly getting worse and worse, with the powder coating being etched by road grime or possibly Glasshouse Mountains mud...

This is a pic after polishing it on the weekend:

So I decided to do something about it and picked up some cheap cutting polish to use with the lambswool buffing pad I had lying around in the garage. If you do this, make sure you cover everything with towels - I covered the whole front end then found splashes of cutting compound on the windscreen and the rear plastic guards (which is a pain to get off again...) After cutting it back I hit it with some NuFinish to try and keep the surface unmarked for a while.

The end result is very pleasing, with it looking like new again! (the marks in the pic are actually a reflection of the palm tree in the garden and the guttering on the house!)

Broke the footman loop on the bonnet a while back. Made up a new one out of Kydex. Far stronger than the crappy plastic one. Now I can tighten my bonnet protector without fear of snapping it.
