Default 1996 Model non revs at start ups
Hi,

I have a rather strange issue with my 1996 cherokee sport. Sometimes, not all the time when I start the car it does not rev. It is not misfiring, It just wont go over an idol. If I rev it up it doesnt do anything.

The engine is usally hot when it does it, to fix the issue all I do it re-start the car and its clear, no trouble at all...

I also not, their is no smell of petrol, when it does this.

Anyone have ANY suggestions what it could be?

My first thought would be to check the that TPS (throttle position sensor) is working correctly.
CHeck out greatlakes' website for a manual for your particular model....

TPS probably. Have you checked your fault codes?
